Do Not Send Money If You Are Suspicious

Reporting an advert to us does not guarantee that money can be recovered. If you have concerns before paying, stop the transaction and carry out further checks first.

Why Might You Report an Advert?

Reports are useful for more than suspected fraud.

Possible Scam The advert, seller or payment request appears suspicious.
Misleading Information Important claims about the item appear substantially inaccurate.
Copied Advert Photographs or wording appear to have been copied from another listing.
Already Sold The item is no longer available but still appears as active.
Wrong Category The advert has been placed in an inappropriate marketplace section.
Other Concern Something else about the listing should be brought to our attention.

What We Need From You

The more clearly you identify the listing and explain the problem, the easier it is for us to review it.

Advert title The title or item being advertised.
Advert URL Copy the web address of the listing if possible.
Reason for reporting Tell us clearly what you believe is wrong.
Useful evidence Screenshots or relevant information may help us understand the issue.

4

A Report Is Not Proof of Wrongdoing

Marketplace adverts can be reported for many reasons. Receiving a report does not automatically mean that an advertiser has acted fraudulently or broken our rules.

We will consider reports reasonably and may request further information before deciding whether action is appropriate.

Have You Already Lost Money?

If you believe you have sent money to a fraudster, contact your bank or payment provider as quickly as possible.

Reporting an advert to TouringCaravansForSale.co.uk does not replace reporting suspected fraud to the appropriate police or national fraud-reporting service.

Reporting FAQs

Will an advert automatically be removed if I report it?

No. Reports are reviewed and the appropriate action depends on the circumstances and information available.

Can I report an advert that is simply incorrect?

Yes. Reports can cover incorrect information, sold items, copied content, suspicious activity and other genuine concerns.

Can you recover money I have paid to a seller?

No. TouringCaravansForSale.co.uk is an advertising marketplace and does not normally process the purchase transaction. Contact your bank or payment provider promptly if you believe money has been sent fraudulently.

Will the seller know who reported them?

We do not need to disclose a reporter's identity simply because an advert is being reviewed, although information may need to be handled differently where required by law or by a formal investigation.
